The Blind Side. Dir. John Lee Hancock. Perf. Quinton Aaron, Sandra Bullock and Tim McGraw. Alcon Entertainment, 2009. DVD.
Summary:
This movie is about a boy who grew up in the "projects" and a family found him on the side of the road and took him in. The family adopted the boy, Michael Oher. He gets started in football at his new high school, Wingate, where he has a very successful career and every college wants him to come there. He ends up choosing the University of Mississippi and then was drafted by the Ravens in 2009.
Analysis:
This piece relates to my topic because Michael is a offensive tackle and they are the second most paid player in the NFL because they protect the quarterbacks “blind side”. They are paid so much because they prevent a lot of injuries of the quarterback and are very hard to find a guy with the perfect body shape. This is a credible source because it’s fairly recent and a true story.
