I chose an article about the development of the teenage brain. It talks about how your brain isn't fully developed until you are twenty years old, with the prefrontal cortex taking longer to develop this causes the risky behaviors you do not see in adults. Teenagers use the back of the brain for decision making whereas adults use the front of the brain, which causes adults to make decisions more quickly. The horomones in a teenage brain cause them to be very emotional and have risky behaviors.
I think this is a credible source. The article has an author and is from a big named magazine that deals with health. The article also relates to my topic because if you injure part of the brain it may slow development or stop the development from part of the brain completely, and in teenagers the development of the brain is very important. The article also has many sources from different news pieces.
